comment: Hello Dr Deepak,
I am Sohail Jafferi from Mumbai. I am a travel writer. I also make short video clips for internet. It is indeed great to know about the kind of work you have done on Patalkot. I am planning to make a small documentary on the tribals of Patalkot. Apart from the cultural aspects, I also want to highlight the problems faced by them. I got some really important issues from your writings, such as the problem of Chaitua Palayan and the loss of medicinal herbs. Your opinion and suggestions on my project would be highly appreciated. Recently, I made a short travel clip on Tamia & Patalkot, which you can watch at the following URL :http://www.travelistic.com/video/show/7352
Wishing you a Happy Diwali,
Sohail Jafferi

But what happened, now you are not going Chhindwara or busy with other assignment as you have not up dated the site from long. Persons like me (Staying in Chenni), who could visit Chhindwara once or twice only in a year can see the photo of the places where we born and brought up find great emotional relief. Patalkot simply amazing.

comment: Dear Dr. Acharya, You are really doing a great job at Patalkot. I am staying in Hyderabad at present. I visited this place couple of times some 12 years back with my father. Mostly while returning from Pachmarhi. We always used stop by this place because this place is special to my father. He drilled a tube-well in that valley. I have not visited the village below because of lack of time. Every time we reached there in the evening only. I love the valley near Tamia also. I still remember there was a water-fall when you go down the valley. Not sure if it is still there. Last time I was in Chhindwara 2 years back. Next time when I am there, I will make sure to visit this place again. Thanks a million to bring back the memories of this lovely place. Warm Regards Kamal

comment: Dear Deepak, Congratultions. For the exemplary work done by you.I read about the work being done by you in Rajathan Patrika today and at once started to locate you on the web. I am from Jodhpur, Rajasthan. I think this is the area where lot of work is required to be done because people are getting fad up with the allopathic treatment, which is always with lot of side effects whether known or not. Sometimes I wonder whether these allopathic practitioners do know some thing or not because for whatever problem you go tto them, they will prescribe you an antibiotic, an antiallergic/ antippyretic, an analgesic and some vitamins etc. I wonder why these people waste 5 to 8 years in medical colleges to learn to prescribe these simple and some other very common medicines, I wish government should give more importance to Ayurved and other alternative means of curing ailments and for positive health.
Anyway keep it up. Congratulations once more. Sincerely Anand Chhangani.

My last assignement was to document 15-20 of the most important medicinal plants with photo and text. Since the information and communication at times were a little short, I have searched the Internet for some of the plants, which is how I found this site. When I tried to click on the Gymnema Sylvester link it did not work. I hope it will work soon? Thank you for your time and effort! Sincerely Kristina

It was pleasant to see picture of my school, Hanuman Mandir, view of Chhindwara from Dharam tekadi and specially Patalkot. Let me introduce myself. I am Sanjay (Sanjay Kumar Vaishnava) I completed my education, right from class 1st to M.Sc. (Chemistry) in Chhindwara only. At present I am in Chennai working as an Executive Manager (pharmaceutical research and process development) with Sanmar Speciality Chemicals Limited. Whatever you have done at Patalkot was my dream and now will be a dream for me forever because at this stage I can not think of doing these things due to my liabilities. Any way good work. Keep updating your website. Cognates. Sanjay. |
